The Methods of Achieving Sustainable Urban Development and Transportation

Abstract

In the course of urbanization and urban development, transportation section has simultaneously the key role of both impressed and impressive to the development process. The formation of new cities has been profoundly affected by different transportation systems like road and rail ways and on the other hand, texture of cities with use of transportation systems in cities and success in carrying out their duties. In recent years, such as high consumption of energy increasing and complicated challenges of  latest increase air and sound pollution, lack of planning, waste of time and reduce transportation safety in the city, caused the concept of sustainable transportation, into vision in whole world. Therefore, this article is the concept of sustainability from economic, social and environmental checks three perspectives and define the basic concepts, indices for this evaluation. In the following, the most important factors in achieving the implementation of sustainable urban transport will be discussed.
