Abstract

Intersection control and how they are organized are one of the most important topics in Traffic Engineering. Lanterns and traffic lights can be used to guide traffic at intersections. Traffic lights, along with increased traffic safety, can sometimes be a waste of valuable time for citizens. Intersections in the city of urban roads are of great importance. Based on the results of the study and research, on average, thirty-five to forty percent of the increase in traveling time in the city center is due to delayed intersections. With more attention to the status of command lights, it is quite obvious that adding a motion phase to driving phases of the command light can increase traveling time, traffic jams at the intersection, increase fuel consumption and depreciation of vehicles, increase traffic density behind the command light, the reduction of the traffic flow and, most importantly, the increase of a significant delay time for vehicles. However, the use of a timetable for a command light as an early release or a time spent on a late-release command light in this traffic light phase will prevent the creation of an additional phase for the intersection command light, and can result in vehicle movements in the same phase the existing command lights create the so-called green phase created for a maximum use path.
